The heavy-duty center lathe SRM 100 is a lathe with feed rod and leading spindle. It can be used for roughing and finishing operations and thread cutting. With this machine it is possible to machine with carbide tipped cutting tools for high cutting speeds or with high-speed steel for big chip volumes. The bed is made of heavy ribbed and homogeneous cast iron, which ensures a high stiffness. The guideways are protected against pollution through covers. The swivelling cross slide and the combination of cross and longitudinal feed allows the machining of cones.
