The pneumatic, micrometer-precise clamping system on the carriage of the U-axis allows the automatic exchange of different, pre-set grinding spindles and a measuring probe. The selected solution for the arrangement of this assembly does not restrict the working space.
The overall speed range is thus also usable in automatic mode.
