Industrial machines need to be economical and reliable.
Advantages of used die casting:
Very good image quality
Good surface quality
Low machining allowance necessary
In the die casting process, a distinction is essentially made between two types of construction. The so-called hot-chamber process and the cold-chamber process.
Advantages of the hot-chamber process:
The hot-chamber process offers a special structural feature. In the melt, which is kept at temperature in a crucible, there is a structure that establishes the connection between the furnace and the die casting mold. This device is also known as a casting vessel in technical jargon. The holding furnace and the die casting machine form a coherent unit. The temperature in the furnace itself is approximately 450 degrees Celsius. Due to the low heat dissipation, the castings become very fine-grained. This process can be fully automated in industry, resulting in fast cycle times of three to four seconds, depending on the machine size.
Advantages of the cold chamber process:
In the cold chamber process, the die casting machine and furnace are arranged separately. In this way, the required amount of melt can be metered manually or automatically. The cold chamber process is suitable for aluminum and copper-based alloys. However, magnesium alloys are also processed in the cold chamber process
This is where used IDRA machines help to enhance your production. They are very affordable and immediate available.
With pre-owned IDRA your business can react fast to changing production requirements at the fraction of the cost of new equipment.
